This an amazing story of how Social Media can be used for good! Meet a woman who found her miracle on Facebook after 8 years of searching for her mother to no avail.

Stacey Lee was separated from her biological mother Brenda Drake in 1993 when she was just two years old due to a breakdown in their family. The separation meant she had to go live with her father and 2 brothers. When Stacey turned 15, she began the process of looking for her mother.

She would spend the next 8 years going through records and scouring the internet but to no avail. She almost gave up when her boyfriend Martin Smith suggested she create a message with the little details she knew of her mother and post on Facebook. Well it worked!  After she posted a selfie of her holding a cardboard paper with details of her mother; she heard from her just 20 hours later! The striking photo was shared on Facebook more than 100,000 times.
