Workout Wednesday - HIIT

Hello Lovelies,

It's Wednesday; so it's time for another healthy tip and workout video clip(after the cut). For my workout today I did a HIIT(high-intensity interval training) routine. HIIT is a training technique in which you give one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of workout gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time. The key thing to note here is it burns more fat in less time.

HIIT sessions are intense and may be too exhausting for newbies but as you advance, adding HIIT to your routine is highly recommended especially if you do not have a lot of time to workout. 20 minutes of HIIT could burn more calories than an hour walking on the treadmill depending on your intensity. The best part, it aids in increasing your metabolism which means you keep burning calories after you are done. Read more about HIIT here.

You can find tons of HIIT routines on YouTube. My favorite channel for this is Fitness Blender. Hope this helps. Have a lovely rest of the week.
