A 37-year-old man who has experienced abdominal pain for most of his life was finally diagnosed with rare disorder
Persistent Mullerian duct syndrome (PMDS) after blood was found in his urine. An MRI showed the said man has female reproductive organs including a womb and ovaries. The blood in his urine was reportedly from his period which he had been getting since he was a teen.
The man, from Lancashire, is now preparing for surgery to remove the womb having lived his whole life as a 'red blooded' male, according to The Sun. Doctors have told him this is the best way for him to continue to live as a man but he may risk going through menopause once the procedure is complete.
