Fake Marriage 101- Learn Your Intended's Name. This Nigerian Man Did Not.

Breaking the law is bad enough but doing it foolishly is worse! How do you fake a marriage in the eyes of the law and not learn basic details about your supposed spouse? Buhahahahahaha!

Joseph Iwueke

A Nigerian man Joseph Iwueke, 33, was to marry a Slovakian lady Ingrida Stojkova, 29, in Leeds last July so he could remain in Britain legally. However the couple were busted by registry officials when they noticed the supposed groom reading details about his supposed bride from the back of his hand. The police were called and they were arrested moments before their bogus wedding was to take place. Iwueke was jailed for two years and nine months and Stojkova was given a 15-month sentence after they pleaded guilty to to conspiracy to facilitate a breach of immigration law.
