Two of my favorite happiness quotes are:
- " Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude."- Denis Waitley
- "It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happines." -Charles Spurgeon.
I have since concluded that although happiness is subjective, it is clear that we(humans) are in constant pursue of it. We all want different things like wealth, good health, houses, cars, children but all to the same end; we hope all these will make us happy. Now the pertinent question is are we really happy even after we achieve our wants? For me, happiness comes from within; it is a decision that we make regardless of what we have materially.
I read an article recently on the huffington post about happiness. The author Alicia T. Glenn listed the below as 5 traits of a really happy person and I quite agree.
